Personal Teaching Philosophy
I believe that an educator should be able to reach out to all kinds of different students in the class. I recognize that each child is unique and different. It is important to find ways to reach all students. My role is to build upon the child’s strengths and build up their weaknesses to reach their full potential, whatever that may be. It is important for a child to be in a safe, caring, and nurturing environment, so that they feel comfortable in the classroom. My job is to help the students to grow mentally, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually providing a holistic experience.

Athlete:
Physical - I chose a volleyball court because of my love for the game of volleyball throughout my whole life and the accomplishments I have achieved through this sport. I also had a picture of weights, this symbolizes weight training and pushing myself beyond what I thought was possible.
Emotional - I chose a heart to show my love for athletics and sports and that I would not trade it for anything. Also a picture of a serious face, which shows that I am emotionally stable and that no matter the situation I will not get too excited or too sad.
Spiritual - I chose a cross because of my religious belief and that anything can be accomplished if you have the right mindset and work hard enough.
Mental - I chose a camera, which symbolizes focus, because on a camera you can focus the picture, this applies to athletics because I am very focused on the goal and task at hand, this is the only thing I think about when playing and do not have any distracting thoughts.
